The roulette table is in a shape of rectangle, and highly colorful. Colors of green, black and red make the table a very eye-pleasing one. It consists of the table layout and the roulette wheel. The table layout is where the bets are placed, while the wheel is where the croupier throws the ball to determine which number wins.
This table is color-coded and designed to help facilitate betting. Inside of the layout are numbered squares. Each number represents a slot on the wheel. These squares are not only numbered, but also colored. Hence, a roulette player can bet on a red number or a black number. You can also bet that an odd number or an even one will win on the next spin. These are referred to as "outside bets".
Aside from betting simply on a single number or on a color, you can also try betting on a set of numbers. Some roulette players prefer betting on two numbers on the layout, while others go for five numbers. It is a roulette belief that betting on five numbers is the weakest strategy a player can ever make. But, it does not stop some enthusiasts on making the wild five-number bet.
